Raced a turbo Prelude
I just got my 91 GTA yesterday, and me and my friend were out today just cruisin around town, well we were sitting at a redlight when this *****-out Prelude pulls up behind me and starts revvin his engine. Well we pull out and he gets beside me and guns it, well I am in Drive and I don't even go WOT and he can't pull on me, then we race again, I drop it down into 2nd and absolutely leave him sittin, then he gets up beside me and asks if my car is a V8, then he starts talkn trash about how his four cylinder just kept up with a V8, then my friend says let's take it to the interstate, but the poor boy wouldn't do that. Sorry so long just had to tell someone.

Nice kill but I've always found the preludes are sleds on wheels. The newer ones ('97+) are even bigger dogs!

One, why do you say it's a turbo?
Secondly, pre-92 Preludes only weigh 2500, I owned one.
Just before my friend totalled it, I had blown the stock 2.1L engine (it was the full blown Si, not the 2.0 Si), and replaced it with an H22. With the stock engine it pulled mid 16s, and with the VTEC engine in that light car it probably would've pulled low 15s. Add full exhaust, 14 psi of boost, and traction, and you might be looking at 13s.

They didnt make a turbo prelude. Also if it was a later model prelude he wouldnt even need a turbo to keep up. I think they were mid to low 15's anyway. It wouldnt take much for him to keep up if your GTA is stock.

Well i was with him in the passenger seat, and we could hear a blowoff valve, he said it was an aftermarket turbo. Off the line, he could barely hang with us, but once we got up into the powerband, it was no competition.

I know they don't make turbo preludes stock. I was referring to the subtitle:
Raced a turbo Prelude
And since it wasn't followed up in the story, I asked about it.

When I say a turbo Prelude, that means a Prelude w/ turbo. NEVER ONCE DID I SAY THAT IT WAS A STOCK TURBO. Like my friend said the guy told us it was turbo and we saw the boost gauge, and heard the blowoff valve and turbo. Regardless, I beat him into the ****** ground!!!

who know
my friend has a 94 prelude si with a garett t-2 turbo running 10lbs of boost, and he is pushing over 300hp to the wheels, 320 something actually. so unless this guy stole a turbo off a neon srt or something, i doubt it was a turbo.

Whistle tips don't sound like a turbo, they're just stupid.

Listen people, where I come from people cannot afford turbos like the ones that you people know, I live in east Tn where nobody can really afford any of this highly expensive stuff, I know it was a turbo, and actually i'm sick and tired of arguing about it so let's leave it at this!!!

Do I seriously have to explain it to you? Did it fly right over your head? Maybe, I see you're in TN too.
There are only so many turbo kits for Honda cars. For the kits, there are a limited number of actual turbochargers available. He said:
