Me vs. 2002 SS

WELL,

my friend calls me up on saturday night...thisis the same friend who owns a 1997 v6 camaro, anyways he calls me and says do you want to hand out? keep in mind i haven't talked to this guy in around 3 months. well we meet at my dorm and i walk up to him. he says wow look at that car! to my left there was a sunset metallic orange ss. i was like ya there are alot of nice cars at this college. then i saw the interior lights light up and a big grin on his face. he bough a freakin ss!!!i was so happy but the thing that sucked is we took my bro's truck to the dorm. well first night we chilled and then sunday night he wanted to go see jeepers creepers 2, and then cruise. well on the way to the movie we were side by side and kept bugging each other. well he wouldn't go so i decided to stop tryin.

after the movie though .....i knew he wanted to run. we found a vacant spot and lined up. his girlfriend yelled go and we were off. i ripped him out of the hole on the first run and he was spinning sideways. his car is bone stock with 3:42's. well by the time he stopped spinning i was gone. we decided to run agaain from a roll at around 15 and i pulled one car up to90 and let off. i knew his car should beat me and i wanted him to go home satisfied with his purchase so we lined up again. we ran all the way to 110 this time. girl yelled go and right off the back i had a fender on him. we both had minimal tire spin. around 60 i had him at my rear then around 80 he was closin in. around 100 he was a front fender in front of me and we let off. i knew he was happy to win and he should have. i told him just wait till you start modding that thing.

btw, we had agreat night after that. nothing like cruising side by side in two beastly f-bodies.

i need a bigger intake and carb now then things will be different hopefully

sunset mettallic orange ss:hail: :hail:

The guy had a 02 Metallic Orange SS? Didnt those cars come with the factory red paint with white racing stripes? Maybe thats just an option. I dont know. Thats great you can hang with an SS I had a 98 Z28 and it got totaled. So now the only thing left to do is get my thirdgen faster than what i had. Great job

Hey good kill man. If any of us has a chance against LS1's it is out of the hole. After that they just just go and go. I think SS's give you more of a challange because they come with better gearing. You probably run into auto Z's with the atrotious gearing. I remeber when i raced my roomates 2002 SS (sunset orange as well) I was like 2 cars ahead of him and I got a pretty good jump starting in first. When I hit 50 he flew past me and took it up to 135 and made me look like a moped. Now I can hang better with the LT1 but he walks me past 70-80ish. Dread the modded LS1.

Nice runs there Seems like you have a very respectable 3rd genner there. I'll bet his car is sharp. I always liked the sunset orange color
