Hmm, why do links I post always die....
Anyway, a guy found old street racing videos he had taken from the 80's. The video he posted was from 1988, and he was racing a 1988 IROC-Z.
I uploaded the movie to my webspace....

You may have to check your settings on the Windows Media Player. I'm downloading it now. I'll get back to you on this.

It worked fine for me.
Looked like the Challenger was reelling the Camaro in fast before he let off.
How did he lose in the first place with a 440?!?!?

TOOLS, then OPTIONS, then FILE TYPES.
You want to be careful though. How many different players do you have on your computer?

The IROC had N2O and wasn't stock, just as the Challenger wasn't. Who knows, it might have been a 340 even though he says it was a 440. And I think the guy in the IROC let off before him, because he went by the IROC after he let off of the Challenger. The guy in the IROC held the lead so long he probably figured that was enough.

It didn't seem like he launched the Challenger very well either.
About the settings: TOOLS, OPTIONS, FILE TYPES...You'll have to select the type of media the video is...that I don't know...If there's no conflict and it won't screw something up on your computer, you may want to click "select all". Whatever you select, click apply afterwards and close it down.
You can either double click the video or you may have to go to "File" on the media player, then go to "Open", track down the video and open it that way.
This is the best I can do. I'm far from a computer expert myself. I hope it works for you.

good stuff.
the race lasted about 13-14 seconds it seems, so that's pretty much 1/4 mile worthy as far as determining a true winner.
Hard to tell what's happenin' at the end though.

I listened and watched closely, and that's exactly what he said.
Also, when he let off, the IROC was still ahead of him and since he passed him after that, it seems the IROC had to let off first.
