Hypothetical question
If my car had this setup how would it fair racing from a roll? Im guessing it would do really good for quarter mile but kinda curious about how it would be from a roll. Lets say it was my car with that setup vs. a new '04 Saleen mustang with the 281supercharged engine and a manual tranny. My car would have a 6spd tranny (hopefully going to put in). Any thoughts? Thanks!
-by the way it has a 3.73 rearend with an eaton posi and it will have 17x9.5 rims with some Nitto tires.

HSR on that motor build should get you low 12s. hell, LTR on that setup should get you mid 12s. I'd go with 210cc AFR race heads/ you'll need to get some nittos to insure you hook and I think you'd be a good race for an 03 cobra, cause they are faster than the saleens. with a really mean cam you could and tuning you could see 11s with the HSR

Well i dont want to go with too big of a cam, its too much of a dead giveaway. I'll probably just go with a 272* comp cam thats compatible with the computer, wich i guess cams that are computer compatible dont have a lopey idle. 210cc heads wouldn't be overkill on a daily driver?

Dont go with 210 heads if you stay TPI. The 210 heads will better compliment the HSR, though.
Side note: I killed an '03 six-speed Cobra with my current combo (listed in my sig.), by about 6 - 7 cars in a street race from red light to ~120 mph, and I have 3.23 gears and street tires!
Just food for thought.

All the go fast parts I have are listed in my sig.
I will probably dyno it in January and I will post the numbers.
I'm all for run what ya brung, I tell everybody what I have, cause I dont race for money.
Of course, the car is a little lighter than normal!
Besides, the motor beats too hard to disquise it as a 305 with exhaust!

No i havent picked out a set of heads yet. I ran into a problem when i figured out i have no other car to drive when i do this project so i figured since i want to do it right im going to buy onother daily driver so i can take my time to do it right. So in July my '86 will be my full time project car and will probably take a few years in the making.
