Had a run in with a Harley Davidson F150 a while back

I was on the highway on my way home with my g/f. Stopped at a light, i was in the left lane, a semi-truck was in the cewnter and i didnt even know this guy was in the right lane. Light went green, i gave the pedal a spirited "goose" and i see this guy ripping out of the hole. So i responded buy slamming the go pedal, passed, and got a car and a half on him. I went all the way to about 80, it was a 55, then let off. He proceeded to zip by and start cutting cars off. Never tried to catch up to him, i enjoy having no points. However, he never did pull on me. Once i was in about the middle/top of 3rd i let off, and he didnt get any gain.

Just curious what these are packing, it was the newer type with the huge chrome 5 spokes on it.

Also had a friendly race with a guy in a 4th gen LS1. We BS'd at a red light on my way to the track, exchanged compliments, then he jumped on it on green. Was expecting that, but didnt jump on it like he did, i got up to his bumper and he kept it that way. I had to cut it at like 60, the road narrowed and started to dip, several times. Almost lost it, so i called it quits.

5.4 under it. pretty much the same powerplnat as the lightning but in a much heavier form. They are fast trucks for what they are. When they are modded look out.

Really? I would have expected a lil more than what i got with that. Then again, I may have just gotten lucky. Its all good. With the stock mill I got, after the mass of boltons, I plan to hit mid to low 13's on motor. Then a crate motor, after break-in, perhaps some pressurized induction.

That truck has got to be pushing the 5500 lb range. It's got a slightly modified Expedition engine (5.4 V8 Triton). I had a 98 Expedition with that engine. At 6,000 lb it still was quite impressive with no mods.

2003 supercharged F150 HD

Supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter Triton™ SOHC V-8 engine rated at 340 hp @ 4500 rpm, 425 lbs.-ft. torque @ 3250 rpm
6700-lb GVWR; 4500-lb tow rating; 1375-lb payload; 10,000-lb GCVW rating

"14.2 seconds @100 mph with the tailgate down"

this is what I saw on another site. I would think the truck would be slower with the above #s and weight. But we know the Lightning is an easy mid 13 truck so maybe this is accurate.

They actually started the series back in 2000, the only one to worry about passing you is the supercharged edition. They have badges on three sides though that say Supercharged so there not hard to spot the difference.

I was following one of my friends about a month ago, and one of these things was beside me. My friend has this turd of a car, so he was flooring it, so I was at about half throttle to keep up with him. This truck monstrosity was beside us, and apparently thought I was on it or something... he got right beside me, held it for a while, then floored it to fly by me. He made me look bad, and he felt like hot ****, but his truck didn't seem like it was much faster than my car is. I hate it when people think you are racing/ think you want to race...

anyways, he continued to try and race me, and i denied him. That might make my car look slow, but street racing is a felony, and this was in a well policed area. I really wanted him to get a ticket for driving like an ***.
