3rd gen vs. 2nd gen

hey i got a question, i have a 1988 camaro 305 TBI with flowmaster exhaust and open element intake, and sum kid at my school has a 2nd gen 305 all stock. Who would win in a race?

yeah man the 2nd gens looked good but insurance regulations and emissions KILLED the ponys under the hood of those cars

you could beat him with a 3.1 fbody car

You would even have a good chance against one with a 350 if it was late 70's. Ive seen some of them running 16's at the track.

Yeah, you should have it. If it was a 70, 71, 72, or 73, I would say you have your work a little more cut out for ya. Those older LT1's were pretty impressive, I think the 70 1/2 came with 370 horse, Z-28 of course. But you should own him.
