Mid 90's RX7 vs. 89 L98 Iroc-z

I have seen a mid 90's RX-7 cruising around town lately and it's just a matter of time before I meet up with him at a light. It will be a short race, maybe 1/8 mile.

I got a 350 L98 with headers, and catback exhaust. I have 2.77's now but have 3.27's going in next month or so when new tranny and converter are ready. Can I get him if I can hook with stock gearing and stock tranny? How bout with tranny, 2600-2800 stall, and 3.27's, shift kit?

Thanks

Is it an Rx-7 or an RX8 because I think they stopped making Rx-7's in like 93 either way if its a turbo model hell stomp you. Also I dont think you want that big of a stall on a basically stock l98 it will take you out of your power band to quickly. Your car is at its best from idle to about 4800 rpms so why make it start at 2800 rpms, I dont think thats going to help you much, not until you get some serious mods. Good Luck.

they stopped sending rx7s over here in 95, 93-95 are twin turbo, 255hp, if hes a good driver and has done any perfomance mods he will spank you with you running 2.77s.

I love those 3rd gen rx7's....sweet looking cars.

Not the most powerful of imports but I would still love to have one.

I know a guy who has a 93 RX7...he is in the process of installing a nitroused ls1/t56 combo...its gonna be crazy.
