A buddy of mine at work just bought a 2003 Spyder.He knows I race (Id beat him previously when he had an Intrepid and a Ranger ...hey,he started it!!)..Anyway the smack talk began (beat engine out of Japan..yadda yadda).He didnt know alot about the car except it was stock.After work I snuck a peek....HA!...he got the GS!!!

"race" 1 : I put quotes around the race because it wasnt a race as much as screwing around.I was leaving work and kinda mosying and taking my time.I look into my side mirror and see him going for a rycer flyby.AWWW HELL NAW!Hes probably a 2-3 lenths behind me when I see him..I drop into 2nd and nail it.He barely passed me and I wouldve overtook him but a van pulled out and I had to let off.Suprisingly,the next day at work he was telling everyone how I beat him!.

Race 2: the real deal: We're leaving work walking to our cars.He wants to do it again.We get to our cars and he hollars at me to come here.I go to his car and he didnt need anything..he wanted a headstart!!!

Well it didnt do much good, I quickly caught him.......at a light!:hail: We're talking smack through the windows and I notice the lights for the other road turn yellow.Showtime. I torque brake up to 1500.The Camaro lurches slightly.The light changes.And I ....spin tires:lala: . I let off slightly,regain traction..then nail it.Even with my sloppy start he never had a chance.I was 4-5 lenths ahead and 70 mph when I let off.

Race 3 :same car a few minutes later.We're side by side and doing 45 or so.The speed limits about to go up so I tap the gas.He looks over and nods and I hear him accelerate.I didnt even bother dropping it into 2nd.I passed him like he was sitting still.

I cant wait until work tomorrow!

 

does this guy like taking his beater cars for races all the time or what's the deal here?!

 

beaters are fun to race man i had a 1992 jetta i use to race my friend in his maxima and this other guy in his prelude i'd get ownd

word. when I take the corolla out I'll race anything that tries to take me off the line. even powershifting that little 4 banger I get owned by kia rios. but its fun. But what is a mystery to me is that I get raced way more in the corolla than i ever get revved at in the Z, so what a bummer. maybe i should hook up a 50 shot or something to keep up with mid 90's ford explorers or something?
