Firehawks, but liek Rx7 said, the TTA 3.8 birds were the fastest from the factory. Firehawks were 380hp I believe with a ZF 6 speed if they were manual with a very clean center console

I say the 91 92 Z28s 350 TPIs. They ran low 14s with a good driver when they came out. But yeah the 90 IROC was is one of fastest with a 14.4 secs in 1/4. But those 3.8 Turbos  I saw a 89 3.8 turbo Anniv today at a car show. Not in good cond, but still nice

there is an article on tgo that is comparing old pontiac and new and they race a gto with a tri power 389 and a tta and after they ice everything down on the tta it runs like a 13.74 so i would go with the tta but as far as camaros go i would go with the 350 iroc.

The firehawks were the fastest and the TTA was the quickest.

To be strictly technically correct, the TTA was not built by chevy or Pontiac (if you check the labels, all the paperwork… it was done by PAS). Leaving that one out, I’d venture that the fastest one was the lightest ’91-92 L98 camaro, but considering the way some of these things were optioned, I wouldn’t be that surprised to find that you could find a late LB9+5 speed with better factory gearing… that would be pretty close.

Camaro ('91-'92) B4C with 350 TPI
Firebird ('91-'92) 1LE Formula with a 305 TPI 5 speed (no options)
Just my guesses don't bash me.

I don’t know what to believe with the B4C’s. I have seen a few and they were all 305/5 speed cars. Supposedly you could have a ’91 350/auto car in ’91 and a 350(aluminum head, vette engine)/auto car in ’92, but I haven ever actually seen either.
I’d bet the fastest camaro is from that bunch. I suspect that second would have been a pre ’91 L98 IROC/Z28 with as few options as possible (the ’91-’92 was slightly heavier no matter what you did, and I'm not sure if the few more HP was really the result of more actual power or just different published numbers).
I doubt that any of the formulas were contenders just because of weight. They got the same drivetrains, slightly better springs/shock valving (mostly more aggressive rear suspension setups which chevy brass considered a liability) but all of the interiors were heavier then the comparable camaros (probably the ’82-84’s were the closest) and the flip up headlights, extra brackets, extra wiring… added a bunch of weight to the nose (I weighed the difference at one point and if I remember right I got something in the range of 31#), heavier rear spoiler… I’m pretty sure that most Pontiacs weighed in at 50-80# more then comparable Camaros

As for fastest Camaro, I would say a 1LE car. B4C cars had options, at least all the ones I've seen. The 1LE cars I've seen were strippers.
