Why do only crappy cars want to race me?
I went out cruising tonight for about 2 hours, back and forth on "the strip" of my town. There's ALOT of nice cars out there on Friday and Saturday night, but I couldn't get anybody good to race me. I got 6 races, and whipped 5 people's asses, and one was actually semi-close.
#1 - ~98 Grand Am SE from about a 10mph roll. it was pitiful, i had 4 car lengths on him by 55mph
#2 ~02 Grand Am SE from a stoplight. again, pitiful, had about 5 cars on him by 55
#3 ~02 Grand Am GT (what the hell was up with Grand Am's tonight?). better race then the first two. raced from a stop, and had about 3 cars on him by 55
#4 ~95 v-6 firebird. raced once from about 40mph up to 70 and had multiple car lengths on her (usually cut off at 55mph on this road, but had to push it a little more). light ahead turned red and we raced from a stop. had around 4 cars by 55mph
#5 ~00 v-6 Mustang. raped it from a stop, maybe 3-4 car lengths
#6 - 04 Dodge Neon SRT-4. I was actually driving around tonight hoping I'd run into one of these. We got a redlight and raced up to about 60mph, and i had about 1 1/2 car lengths on him.
I was suprised I was ahead of him by that much. All I have is a L98 with a cat delete and catback system. Pushing possibly 235-240 at the crank. I heard the SRT's were low 14 second cars. I've never had mine at the track, but most stock L98's (225hp versions) run around 14.6 or so. I figure I'm slightly better than that with exhaust and being in very good tune. The SRT might have pulled on me if we had gone 1/4 mile, but at 60mph he hadn't started gaining yet. (might have been an inexperienced driver though).
Anyway, the SRT-4 kill was pretty fun, but the other 5 races were jokes.

Good runs. Everything you raced was a waste of gas except for the SRT4. I think youy got lucky on that one. When equipt with the right driver they can hang with stock LT1 M6 cars.
