stu - Ever driven a Miata? The newer generation 140HP Miatas even with a 5/6 speed manuals are quite slow. 16 second cars. Autos are much, much worse. Probably a second or more slower. The older cars are complete turds are far as acceleration goes. Having the [sarcasm]privilege[/sarcasm] of working on these tiny turds at work all day, I can vouch for the original poster. If he ran a Miata from a stop, and actually managed to go more than 3/4 throttle, a buslength in first gear is very possible.

Why do you and stu feel that you have the right to come over to another enthusiasts board, to which you cannot relate, and try to correct all of us in the ways of the import world? all I have to say to you guys is boohoo

 

if you all noticed that his car was an 88 Iroc LB9 5 speed, with 3.54 gears in a dana 44 rear. with some suspension mods, springs, subframe conectors, and such. that car will move out of the hole

but with TPI and about 4500 rpms power band, first will take you to 36mph with 3.54 gears and 2.66 first gear ratio(i think) in the T-5. http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/calc.htm


a bus length is about 2.5 car lengths or so. i dont think it was a bus length but unless miata spun (i dont know how that would happen) and you got the best launch ever, then maybe. but yeah your car should crush them miatas cuz they are slow and its not a good kill. its fun to put them in their place but its expected to win by alot. so congrats on the kill but its expected and nothing special. LOL

I don't own a thridgen never did own a thirdgen does that discredit what I have to say when I call bs?
just because you don't own the vehicle doesn't mean your opinion doesn't matter either.
I never owned a ford mustang but I can give many accurate opinions on them being I drove one around for quite a few months. so does my opinion still mean nohting since I didnt' own one? hell I never owned a thirdgen and never drove one around either but I think by now I can give some fairly good opinions on what the car should be able to do and such from talk here, my friends and through other sources. but does not owning one still discredit me?
or is it the whole thing of me owning an import discredit me?

we enjoy this place and the learning experience we get. most of the ppl are good ppl here and I learn and help out if I can

Yep, I've been here for 2 and a half years and I've never owned a third gen. I just like this site.

I saw a lot of useless posts in this one. No one cares if you complain. If you have a problem, PM us mods and we will deal with it. Don't preach your problem. We are very aware of peoples posting habits and trends. Usually no crime is commited but many of us love to point the finger when these incedents occur.
