I didnt intend this project to be a 11sec T/A

I didnt have money to invest in heads so I did the next best thing .. used something that was new and compatible.

you know If i had money I woulda got the sickest set of heads and cam there is, along with a mini-ram.

Im Impressed I did what I did for the price.
I started a thread 2 months back "$600 Rebuild"

well it wasnt exactly $600

but I built a nice motor that looks nice for about $750
I can tell you this.. I can pop the hood and itll be good enough for a local car show ..

good enuff for me

Ok, I apologize for the attack on your mustang and I'm sorry I was an *** about it. I was trying to explain that the guy was being cocky, he did win and by my previous post you can tell I respect anything that is fast. now, back to the the original posters topic.. get that thing done.

if he can drive, its gonna be close or your gonna loose. My cuz just got a 04 wrx, non sti, with full ehxaust, cold air and blow off valve, stock chip and 40 000 miles on it.

Fast as all hell, raced my friends 02 trans am with a shift kit and free mods and 4:11 out back and killed him by 4 lenghts, raced a sti the other nite, killed him, raced a lot of of fast cars, killed most of them.

So if he can drive, hes gonna get ya, if not, you got him.

I got a buddy with a 04 WRX. He wants to run me. I think we will be close (A4). But after the LT's and duals go on. Goodbye.

Most all WRX owners think that way. I keep hearin my WS6 called a : old *** slo peece of sheeot.

They think that way for 2 reasons:
-They think AWD is almighty
-And that Fbodies cant handle

There wrong on both. Run him. Then kick his ***.

Why did you post this?

And did you even read the first post, or any of the other ones? He talks about racing him in many of them.

Almost true, but someone could spend 10k on a motor, not know how to put it together right and throw a rod the first time they race some punk in a Camaro that knows what theyre doing

you're in a third gen camaro, chances are you're gonna lose unless you've swapped out the TPI..It really bugs me that Chevy made third gens the slowest out of all the gens...they look the best yet they are the slowest. 4th gens are ugly as hell and they get all the lt1 and ls1 bull****. not saying that my 350 tpi is slow, its just not really that fast. 245 horsepower?? i see most of the new granny cars putting out that.

I disagree a bunch. Most L98s will smoke most 2nd gens easily!! Not the early LT1s.... 74-81s.. Esp with the 267 v8 with 120hp! Man the L98 will tear most 2nd gens! Stock wise. Remember 2nd gens were around when the oil crisis hit and emissions for the 1st time. The L98 imo was chevys first performance EFI system that started chevy and now its a LS2 or LS6

No you claimed they act like hardasses, and in my opinion if they want to thats fine, when it comes down to it they have a faster car than you. So while they look down on you with a slower car, they might respect someone with a faster one. Get used to it, a LOT of people with faster cars look down on slower cars and in turn look like hardasses!

And you dont have to set anything straight I know what you said and know what Im talking about. But thanks for trying to set me straight...

cut it out with the petty arguing youre never going to out talk someone over the internet so let it go be mature and forget about it

for the last time man just put up or shut up...either run him or not

if hes such a big racer then it should be no problem for you to go right to his door and say hey man id like to race your car whenever you have the chance...go to a empty road and do it

please post the results

most of our cars would do just fine if not win against 1st and 2nd gens STOCK....GTAs or TGOs with 350 tpis can hang with and beat Lt1s
(IVE DONE IT)

unfortunately gm didnt do such a hot job on our fuel injection systems and the environmental BS ended the reign of the classic muscle cars spawning the thirdgens reduced power

Im stock and i can still hang with most of the Brand new vehicles hitting the roads today aside from ls1s and higher ups (corvettes etc.) Our cars still look the best of all the generations anyways

traxion i never said thirdgens look better and thats all that is needed to win.

i said thirdgens look better, so no need to beat the wrx, if a wrx races me and wins, who cares, thirdgens look better.

Even if he wins he stills drives a Suburu. And how much did he pay for that thing. With that kind of money you can make any thing fast.

I love sayings like this, makes no sense as a lot of people like Subarus. I know a brand new WRX can run right near $24,000 which is not bad at all considering how versatile it is. Go used your well under $20,000 for the same versatility. We have an 02 Impreza and I can say the car has done everything its needed to and more, and with a stick and a Turbo (although the motors are different) the car would be an awesome car to drive. I guess Im a fan as I have had some experience, other than reading about it online!

Concerning being rich and owning a third gen... I'd probably buy up a whole buttload of thridgens and restore them. And a Firehawk as a daily driver...? Way cool pipe dream, indeed...!

Because a stock WRX is now a **** burner??? WOW I didnt know how skewed some of you American car owners were. A stock WRX is far from that, its an affordable, 4 door car with decent performance, good gas mileage, good handeling, AWD all weather capabilities, Id be hard pressed to call that ****.

And thats the same reason I dont own one, I was 16 when I got the 5.0, couldnt afford anything newer or nicer so I got this and did with it what I could afford. Stu wasnt referring to someone like that, he was referring to your average kid been working a few years, with a decent education, its merely a mid 20,000 car, not quite a waste of money.

You keep investing in that car and one day it will be as fast as a WRX...

yeah the entire suck ***** thing: way to be mature bc everyone in this world who doesnt go to school can afford a WRX...i know people who make a good living and cant bc they have bills to pay and other life expenses that prohibit them from affording a 20000+ dollar car

oh but wait therefore they "suck *****"

*sigh* he was being sarcastic.

Now, I'm going to say there's enough time until the next mod comes across this thread before it gets locked.

All I am saying is that I would rather spend my money on the Camaro. In my opinion they are better looking and you can work on them pretty easily. To mod a 20,000+ dollar car is kind of intimidating. Also parts for that car are very expensive. If those are the cars you like go ahead and continue modding them. I just dont have that interest in thode types of cars.

And thats fine, as a lot of people dont like a lot of cars, nothign wrong with that, but calling it a *****, just because you dont like it, thats immature. I like my Mustang and modding that, for the same reasons, easier and cheaper than any other car I have seen! I can relate to that more than you can imagine!
