Yeah, race already. Let's hope the GN guy doesn't take this time to mount an intercooler while the GTA is down... Is that a common mod for the hot-air cars? (I would think so, but is it feasible?)

an intercooler mod is doable for a hotair GN, however, while there used to be vendors making intercooler add on kits for hotair Buicks, they all have since discontinued them. ive searched the classifieds on most of the Buick boards for used kits and theyre pretty hard to come by. i think im just going to keep it hotair for awhile... its funny to pop the hood and watch people look at the engine like "WTF? this isnt a GN motor"
unfortunately it hasnt. the GN is back on the road and being tuned. however, i have since sold the GTA to someone who wanted it for parts. he has lost interest in his project car and is going to give me the GTA back for free. this will be the third time ive gotten rid of this car, only to have it fall back into my hands again... so this time im going to fix it up and well see what it can do against this mostly stock hotair GN
if the cars ever do race each other (or race independantly at the track) ill make a new post with the results
did this happen yet

theres nothing really major wrong with the car, it just needs alot of little things. all the previous times i owned it, i didnt think id have the time (with all the other cars i wrench on) to take care of another project, so i would get rid of the car. but somehow it would always end up back in my possession, so i guess i was meant to bring it back to life
im projecting that before the track season ends this year ill have it up and running good and hopefully have a few timeslips too
