I know I'm breaking the rules and all and this thread will probably get locked now....but you are utterly stupid. Stop using the term "r*ce" for every Jap vehicle you see/race/hear about. Again, I appologize mods, but his posts are really beginning to get annoying to read.

My sentiments exactly.

I have no problem with Stu. Hell I think we need a DSM guy like him around here, because they are quite popular themselves. Psycho, if you continue saying imports are slow and see in a closedm inded view, you will have many reality checks when a stock looking Talon TSi blows your doors off or a primer black Hatch walks you so hard he sucks your paint off. Examples of this are....
- Honda Swaps. Hatches are extremely popular. H22's droppedi n a hatch is no joke stock. Seriously.
- DSM's. Known for spending 2/3 of their life on jackstands they may be but a joke they are not. You look at one and it can be a stocker 14 second car or a mid 11's demon just waiting to suck in some cocky Domestic driver. A forged 4G63 thats pushing some high boost levels can make you crap your pants and while your spinning, his AWD is carrying him to a clean and easy victory.
- Supra's. Although the mid-90's style ones are known for their Twin Turbo setups, never odubt the older ones. I know a guy who is running high 12's and his car looks stock as hell. Adding to the fact he's just started modding it.
- STi's/EVO's. Factory, they are quick. With mods, damn quick. These are extremely popular, although to beat an EVO, all you have to do is rev your loud *** exhaust and their MAF decides to shut their car down...no joke

SRT-4's (still a Neon though ), RX7's, etc....

theres plenty more but seriously, dont ever be closed minded about imports at all. I used to be that way and got a cold reality check when my 92 RS was getting its *** handed to it by crappy looking Honda Hatches, stock looking DSM's, and crappy looking 80's Supras. Stu is welcome here because he knows the reality....stock trim ThirdGens are tortoises. You can make them fast and personally, I love ThirdGens. But its whatever your cup of tea is. Any car can be made fast with the right amount of money.....any car.

I just seen one of those Saturn redlines at the track last saturday runnin mid 14s. They are basically Cobalts. I would say that can smoke most of the people on this site. Also seen a mid 13 sec SRT-4. I sure as hell know hes gonna lay down some **** kickins.
So they must be gettin slower or somethin right?

They're sport compacts.

And just for the record Psycho, if I ever say anything negative about third gens, I'm just giving someone a hard time. You just seem to missinterpret my posts. The reason it seems like I'm always negative, is probably because you only read the threads that you post in; which happen to be threads that I post in, negatively, towards you, not your car.

yeah, but they can still get you for exhibition of speed.I think

It would be safe if you did it like orr89rocz recomends but 20$ is not worth it.

My roomate has a 94 civic hatch 5 speed with an imported japanese B16 in it (DOHC Vtec 1.6)It has like 10 HP more than the american one, I think its like a 1999. It also has a header, fart can, cold air intake, lighter rims and full ignition system. Ive driven it b4. sure its quick, or at least it feels like it when the Vtec kicks in. But without a turbo or blower these things have no tourque whatsoever
