IROC vs 99 + Mustang GT
Before I did headers and injectors, I raced a 99 + mustang gt. We both spun bad, I got the jump, then he slowly reeled me in and jumped a nudge ahead when we quit.
So last night I run into another mustang gt. I don't know mustangs well, but it was a newer model and a 5 speed.
I roll up to the red light where he is at, and it turns green before I am stopped. I roll by him at about 10 mph and I hear him punch it. By the time I see this and pin it, he is at my door. To my surpise, all through first gear he was pulling on me. I hit second gear and he stopped pulling on me, then I started slowly creeping away from him and we let off. I thought it would have been the other way around-lol
Close races are the best

The PI Mustangs AKA 99-04 GT/Mach 1's/Bullitts really get to speed well. Stock they run 14.3's-13.9's based on driver skill. theres a local guy here with 4.30 gears, full exhaust, pullies and a NX 100 shot running 8.4's in the 1/8th with some tire spin....He wont hit the button on the slicks, fraid his rear end might go bye-bye lol.

your racing that beautiful car??? LOL j/k
you can tell what gears you have by checking rpm at a certain mph......then go here http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/5755/math.html
and scroll down to the formula for mph and rpm to plug in some numbers to see what you have.
and i do find it hard for alot of cars out there to pull on a L98 in first gear......700r4 has a deep first gear and it really pulls nicely

You only live once, gotta enjoy the car
It's a garage queen anyway, gotta clean her out once in a while
If I recall correctly, I am at 2k @70mph. I'll have to check again, I tested that a long time ago.
