0-60 Question,
anybody have any idea on the 0-60 times for a stock 1989-92
L98 with 3.23's or G92 LB9w/ five speed and 3.45's/3.42's. It does involve the street but i cant figure out where to put this..
Oh this number would assume no burn out perfect condition type stuff I have seen it from 5.7(which is what i feel it should be) to the 7's

If my speedometer worked I would time it for you.
i can imagine it is somewhere around the 6-7 second area. Im sure someone else knows for sure.

Probably 6-7 seconds. The L98s were about .5-.8 behind the LT1s in the quarter, and LT1s do 0-60 in about 5.5..

they tested a 1990 Iroc Z L98 0-60 in 5.8 secs. Ive read stock early LT1s doing those times as well. A stock L98 should run 5.8-6.2 secs 0-60 depending on gears and the year. The avg L98 should run 6.0 secs

with 2800 stall at 2.77 gears, my 0-60 is in the mid 5's i think at the track. never really had it timed but am working on that.... LOL
low 5's shouldnt be that hard to obtain with exhaust mods, and 3.27 gears with good traction

5.7 secs sound good for the 305 tpi w/ L98 cam 5 spd. and 3.45's
Assuming perfect conditions, I stated this to some "magazine mechanics" so that sound like a decent figure. I'm just bsing but it would be nice to know

I read online somewhere that they did 6.8 0-60 15.3 in the quarter mile.. Which is bogus.. Id say low 6's and later speed density cars should be high 5's

I have an 87 Formula 350 with 3.27 gears. The Pontiac brochure for that year stated a 0 - 60 time of 6.4 seconds for the 350. I verified that myself (unscientifically) using a stop watch and I consistently clocked between 6.2 to 6.3 seconds. I would think that a later model 350 car (89 to 92) would clock 5.8 to 6.0 seconds.

Mine runs 4.1 on radials and 3.8 on slicks...
Alright who cares, I would say high 5s to low 6s like everyone else. Borrow a Gtech and go run it a few times. I did it with my Jeep and it went 7.9, and my friends VW went 6.4, and both were close to what the factory numbers should be, so the Gtechs arent too far off!

With my 4.10's and stock internal L98 im in the 5.0 second range on street tires with stock converter. On the bottle im in the 4.6 sec. range. This was tested on a flat road in the same conditions with a g-tech. I tested the g-tech against the timers at greatlakes dragaway and it was only .1 seconds faster than the real times. The MPH was way off because of the trap speed versus the speed at the 1/4 point. I think 6.2's would be a good guess for stock L98 with zero mods to chassis and motor
