Well, were still workin on it Were having to cut the car all to hell. Were still chopping the frame up (and yes it was already a salvaged car, wouldn't do that to a decent running car, even if it is a stang)

I was never a "car guy" until I got my Camaro. I just didn't care. I always loved ATV's andthat whole world, but never got into cars. My entire life I've wondered why people get so worked up over brand loyalty. After trying to work on GMs and Fords, I now have my reasons.

One of my friends put it very well when he told me his view on cars a few days ago. He stated that Fords seem to be much better and stronger -- until the first thing breaks...then the entire car is not too far away from an overhaul. He was telling me about some of his friends who love Fords, but the instant the first hting breaks, they fix it and sell ASAP because from experience, the rest of the car's not too far off. GMs on the other hand don't really seem to act in this way. My car's a 1991 with about 172000 miles. When something breaks, I can almost count on nothing else breaking for quite a while. I love GMs!

In the whole life of my car getting the crap beat out of it at the track and such I had one shock break... Nothing else since then has broke.

I can say I like Ford because I dont have to do a lot to go fast. Dont need a new rear end, dont need to build the tranny, dont need to put in a big motor, crazy heads, high lift cam, just bolt ons, a few supporting mods, and your doing alright!

Brand loyalty usually comes from people who have only experience one brand and have no reason to be brand loyal. I like most car brands, for different reasons!

Hey now, don't rub it in and make me jealous..

I love fox bodies. As hideous as some of them can look, I love the look of the 89-93 models. Still not quite up to par with most Camaros or Firebirds of the time, but still very nice looking cars. I wish GM put a rearend as strong as the 8.8 into our cars

I'll own a fox body some day I'm sure.

I Love my stang, but at the same time I don't think as far as looks are concerned the mustang even compares. The third gen camaro is in my opinion one of the best looking things ever to roll out on american streets. I love the looks of my stang also, but the camaro's are still a step up in my opinion.

Hey, I've also got a Merc V6 grocery getter sittin' in the driveway right now right next to the third gen! By far the best running winter rat (and it doesn't look bad either) I've had. Super reliable and on that rare occasion something goes it's easily fixable and parts are cheap and readily available. That's not to mention the other 4 Ford winter-beaters I've had in the last 10 years, AND the 30, 000 mile '89 5.0 LX sitting in my garage right now (and ya that is a '94 Explorer right next to it).
The new stang is looking mighty appealing to me right now, but I'd never buy a first year of a different model (possible bugs and kinks to sort out). I'm also torn knowing they "new" camaro concept (so it's said) is right around the corner. Fortunately I've had pretty good luck with Fords (dayuum it's Ford mayhem around my place!). So don't knock 'em till you've owned and driven one.

Hasn't the "new" Camaro concept been just around the corner since the day they stopped making them? Almost as bad as the "new" Acura NSX they've been talking about for 10 years now.

Not really. Many car magazines and car enthusiasts websites are insisting it will make it's fifth generation debut in 2007. Sadly, the "better half" of the f-body platform (Pontiac Firebird) will not be returning with it.

imo it's not a real F-body without its twin, the firebird. It'll just be a new car with the old camaro name.. nothing special.

GM is discontinuing the front engine rear wheel drive platform in 2007 the GTO might not survive that and the camaro is just a dream again i have a magazine article about it. i could find it if anyone wants to know.

Hopefully the era that ends is the overpriced, over optioned, heavy platform ideas GM has come up with. There will always be another car that will come out. I wouldn't get too worried.

I'd love to have a mid engine all wheel drive Camaro myself...
Then again knowing GM it would be priced around $40k for some stupid reason. How about those new Mustangs? Not looking so bad now are they?

Well considering that GM's competators are having great success with their new RWD cars namely Dodge and Ford, I think it is dumb that GM still clings to the same mundane fwd sedan platforms that they used all though the 90's with.

Yea the day GM goes fwd on the corvette is the day I switch to hybrid powered Hondas.

Hmmmm, which also may be not that far off considering gas prices these days
