I think this will be close...

My soon-to-be setup:

350, rebuilt
New Vortec Heads, stock valves/ports
GMPP Roller Cam 234/242 .539/.558, Roller Tip Rockers
Single Plain Performer Intake
Edelbrock 600 carb
Custom 3" exhaust
TH350, 3000 stall,spooled 3.42 rear, slicks

vs. my friends IROC:

old 350
Vortec Heads, Light Porting, Bigger valves
LT4 Hot Cam 218/228 .492/.492, Roller Rockers
Dual Plane Intake
Edelbrock 600 carb
Custom 3" exhaust
700R4, 2500 stall, 3.50 Ford 9", drag radials

We race both 1/8 and 1/4 mile tracks. I think I can take him

Cant wait. Me and this guy have been workin on cars and cruzin for years, but never realy raced eachother. I just hope he dosent finish his turbocharged 350 before I get mine running. No way in hell I'll beat him then.

uh, doesnt the vortec heads max flow at around 500inch lift...? your cam is abit big for those heads i would think... and your cam is alot bigger than his, so i think you win this one

the guides are too tall and will contact the spring retainer just above .480 lift I don't know what max flow is at but, .500 sounds about right
