Hmmmm 3.5yr old thread...I'm going to go out on a limb and say this race probably happened or at the very least it's at the end of the planning stage.

Damn NJ people can't read.

Re: 89 Iroc Vs 94 3000gt

lol... uh... the 94-96 3000GT VR4 twin turbo puts down 321hp/315lb-ft factory. The car weighs around 3700lbs...

Maybe the non turbo (221hp/204lb-ft) would lose to a 5.7 Iroc with some mods... but no way you'd ever beat a VR4, sorry.

Just a few performance specs on a stock VR4:

0 - 60 mph : 5.4 seconds
0 - 100 mph : 13.6 seconds
Lateral acceleration on 200' skidpad = .90g
1/4 mile - 13.7 mph
Capable of 160 mph in 6th gear
Engine redline - 7,000 rpm
Drag coefficient - .33 Cd

Go for it! I'm not knocking 3rd gens, I've owned 3, just saying that not ALL imports are all noise with nothing to back it up!
