We all know that it takes an extrodinary amount of skill, percision, and nerves of steel to handle a car at that speed. Not to mention magic, since I doubt his car can even come close to that number.
stock turbo dsm can go up to 140 mph. but thoses speeds are insane everywhere but at the track.

I'm also sure your speedo is a little optimistic. and it doesn't matter what gears you have or what tranny the thing is you don't have the power to overcome the drag

84TransAm305:
I sincerely doubt you went 135 in an LG4 powered thirdgen. I topped mine out at 110 with my friend's firebird right next to it so his higher speedo told me how fast I was going. My other friend was there to confirm it in his camaro. My LG4 made 130 rwhp with a flowstopper catback and a 14x3 open element.

Also, a LS1 isn't a 350 you tool.

And the thread is still open!!!
I just wanna whip out my small block and compare cubic inches!
And for the record, writing off your intelligence based on age should never be a proper excuse for anything.
Drive our here 84 trans am and I'll smoke you with my L03.

How bout you run your Trans am versus my Z28?
Better yet how bout that Eclipse I have always liked racing those cars because you never know if you will blow its doors off or it walks all over you.

As an example;
A stock LO3 (170hp and 255lb ft) will go 132mph (no more) with no headwind and a smooth road surface. This is of course without a limiter (which all '89 thru '92 TBI cars had). An LG4 (150hp) WILL NOT go 130+ in stock trim. Don't make me do the math to show you
. Better yet, you do the math. It will be fun and will help you dispute other "top speed" arguments in the future. Top speed means nothing.
A stock LS1 has 346 inches of displacement. Who cares if people say 350. That is the cliché engine size that people use when talking about chevy motors. GM even calls it a 350 in some of their stuff. Not everyone knows the nuts and bolts of the Gen I, Gen II, GenIII and Gen IV small blocks like some of us dorks do (cough...me). I don't hold it against anyone. Just like my investor doesn't make fun of me if I mispronounce a fund.
