355 sbc

not sure where to post this figured here would be best so if i m wrong plz redirect me ....I have an 85 TA.. Obviously ... its got a 123,000 mile tired LG4 305 i was wondering weather anybody could tell me what i would run now with a small cam, intake , 600 edlebrock carb 4brr, k&n 14 in" filter and that one thats a filter / lid also by k&n, weind dual plane midrange intake nothing running off the crank xcept power steering alternater and water pump and a freed up exhaust system... no cat and an 80 series flowmaster which is nothing but a sideways 40....

thats my first question now my second i m building a 355 sbc with 11:1 comp full roller valvetrain , 502/502 (with 1.5 rockers i m using 1.6 thinkin about 1.65 still have to do the math)roller cam from lunati summit brand cast iron heads preassembled built to take a 550 lift cam.. edlebrock 2701 performer eps intake and an edlebrock 750 4brl carb ....the heads have 1.9 intake and a 1.6 exhaust i m going to be using headman long tube headers

can anybody tell me what they think that motor will allow me to run and what kinda specs should i expect???????

What heads (not just valve size ). Are they aftermarket or stockers? My guess is that cam would be around 220 or so duration. Your combo should be a solid 350hp and your current LG4 should be capable of running low 15's/high 14's.

I should have some new track times by this fall. I should have more than 300 hp as well (fingers crossed). Stay tuned.

damn shifty I've been waiting to see track times from your hot rod forever

As to the original poster, probably low-mid 15s with the LG4. and i agree with shifty probably somewhere around 350 hp at the fly with the 355, which will probably take you to a low-mid 13 on a street tires depending on how well you drive.
