98 tahoe limited.
Im still working on my 1987 Iroc-Z 305 TPI, Im not going to do much...Just a basic port and polish, afpr, k&n, maybe rear end swap. Currently its a 2.73 rear....
My friend has a 98 Tahoe limited...5.7L with a whipple supercharger, headers and exhaust.
Sounds like he will smoke me, but his car is very heavy...Any suggestions on weather I should race this guy or not? Hes one of my best friends, and theres a 12 pack and bragging rights riding on it. Were not gonna race until a couple months or so. Can i beat this guy??? I might just swap teh rear end if I can get away without having to change anything else. Thanks guys.

His car is VERY heavy. Probably a good 1000 pounds heavier.
In addition to the things you want to do to yours, I would really recommend you also do exhaust. As a minimum, a hi-flo cat and 3" cat back. Shorty headers and a decent Y pipe would be icing on the cake. In which case you should have no trouble beating him.

Your car should be a mid 14 second ride and his truck would be a high 14. I think you will still win this one but don't let your gaurd down. Should be a good race.
