Need more info about the guys car. If it is a new LS1 you will lose.98-02 models where 305+hp and run easy mid 13s. If its a stock 93-97 LT-1 z28 you have a chance but that is if it is totally stock. They run 14.2-13.8 stock.

Sorry I thought you meant 350z like z28.My bad. If it is the new 350z they run low 14s and some dip into the high 13s. Could be a good race. I think they have 270hp but I am not exactly sure. You got the torque for sure.
I don't know how fast an 06 is or how much hp they make but I can tell you a stock 01-02 gt put up a way better fight then the 03 350z did against my car but then again I wax stock gts.

I'de like to see one hit 13's without mods. I watched the brand new 06 my friend bought run a 14.5 which bested a modded Fairlady Z by a tenth. He had to lower the tire pressure to 20 pounds to get it to run that but it did it with the open rear. With a posi I'de say he could've gotten a better time out of it but over 5 tenths, I highly doubt it. This'll be a fair run, you should be pretty evenly matched, if I were taking odds I'de put them on you.
