You should win but how do you get a 3rd Gen down to 2,750 lbs with driver, full tank of gas, a system and 18" C5 wheels? If the Cobra had some gears and stickies, I'd say Cobra. You'll have a difficult time hooking on 18" tires.

I think the 13.4 inch rotors, 2 amps, 2 red top batteries, 285mm tires, dynamat all around, 3 point subframe connectors, and all the fluid coolers helped shed a few lbs too!

I think he meant 3,750 lbs, but You never know...

High 8s low 9s means he cant drive. Should be a mid 8 second car easily with a STRONG top end charge.

The 99 Cobra is a completely different animal. With his mods list the car should be pretty quick. If he has some gears the car has some great potential!

2750, your lucky if thats true. My fox with me in it weighs about 3200 lbs, with lightweight wheels race tires, sway bar, AC and smog gone! Didnt know thirdgens were that much lighter than fox bodies!

I'm very interested in knowing how you got your weight that low also? So what have you done to accomplish this awesome feet? Because my 66 nova ain't got nothing under the hood but the engine and weighs 3200lbs with me in it also.

You have the parts to have him outpowered, my only question is how well the TBI is doing atop it all. Have some custom tuning and such or what?

If your engine setup is coming anywhere near it's power potential and the weight is even remotely close to being under 2800 lbs like you claim you'll rip this Stang a new one.

I really think that this guy meant 3,750 lbs. Because 2,750 lbs is just near ridiculous for what he has listed!

I don't see any real weight reduction in that car,
My car is 3200lbs and I can't see where I can shed 550lbs from, and have a complete audio setup with dynamat and custom box.

I should get some scales and weigh my brothers 96 Trans Am since it is sitting in the driveway completely stripped and see how much a rolling chassis weighs..

I will say my friend Eric was 125lbs and could probably outdrive 99% of this board here. I can easily see HIM weighing that, but the car weighing that, I will NEVER believe. Lets see some pics of this 2700 lb car. I have seen a 2500-2600 lb SN-95 Mustang, and the owner had made it out of carbon fiber and it was a straight up race car!
