91 T/A vs. 90's Impalla SS to 60-70ish

Just raced HER actually about 10 minutes ago. But here are the details:

Not much of a race, but I held her off until then by a carlength then she started to creep past me, but then I shifted and caught back a bit. But by now I think she was out of the race and slowed way down to like 35mph. I waited for her to catch up so I can ask what she had done, if anything, but she turned behind me into her neighborhood so I couldn't ask her. She had local the local Impalla SS club sticker "AZISSO" on her rear window so I'll see what she had done and post the details later on.

Now my car has a fresh rebuilt stock 305, 3"ABS intake with ghetto filter, coated 1336 Pacesetter shorties, stock 2-1/4 crappy catback and 3.42s.

Now my question, is how did I do? I know it's a vague race, but what do they run in the 1/4 stock - mildly modded? I feel my car is good for mid-14's as is and what I have raced and with a crapped out EGR (constant code 32). Anyway, that's my excuses, feel free to flame and blast me out of the water.

Yes, my sig times for the wagon are stock with 125,000 miles. It has the same engine as the Imp with a little less gear 2.93 to the SS 3.08 and several hundred extra lbs.

Beware of the SS clones based on the 9C1 caprice. It is a very common front clip swap to a police car. The 9C1 had 3.23 gears, often no speed limiter, etc.

Years ago, GMHTP got a 9C1 Caprice into the high 13's with gears, converter and slicks.

Well, from what I could tell, if it was a clone, which I don't think it was, it swapped everything over from an Impala SS.

Blue91Z28, how much more does your station wagon weigh than a sedan?

I believe somewhere in the ballpark of 300-400 lbs. I asked on a B-body board a while back and was told Sedans depending on options are 4,000-4,200 lbs. with the wagon's around 4,500 lbs.

Major mods include: h&c, full exhaust, gears, & tune. Owner says it's pushing 360+whp. Also the whole site wasn't letting me forget that my car was merely being toyed with. Oh well, you win some & you lose some.

I have a 96 caprice 9c1, the engine is all stock with just a hypertech computer chip and a CAI and I pulled a 14.3 in the 1/4 with slicks.
