I've got news, the LT1s that I have seen are mostly Automatics and are mid 14 second cars. Most are teenage kids that cannot drive so they are 15 second cars. Same goes for the LS1s. You have to remember that the newest LS1 is 5 years old, the oldest LS1s are nearly 10 years old now. Alot can happen in 10 years, if the car is not properly maintained

Not trying to dirty up the post, but the 25 year old van is new compared to my next project. 1932 Ford Rat rod with a 1943 Cadillac Flathead 346 CID V8 (WWII tank engine backed to a Hydromatic 4spd auto). I have an old school 1947 Cadillac A/C compressor that I have rebuilt to run the A/C. Basically will look like it came straight from a 1947 Cadillac.

i still have all the stuff, but havent used it, i decided to go custom ground solid roller nitrous cam for my Z, and got a full set of the 1.6 rockers, and a 9", i will however, be using the cam, rockers and gears in an upcoming s-10 build for my F**k around toy, i get back form iraq feb 08' so ill have to sit this season ot, but ill be comin back with 25k minimum to put into a truck, enclosed trailer, and make a trip down, im thinking about doing a few tracks on the powertour next year too! that should be fun, and yeah at 2000lbs that thing should be in the 9's with slicks..

the statement about making an @$$ out of yourself was losing to the sentra while having something in the garage that would "put almost half the third gens on here to shame" not anything directing anything to you personally, just saying it sounds like one of those, well if i would have been in my other car, kinda things, good luck on getting the car fixed and go for round 2

I get the car back tomorrow and i plan on going to the local strip on wednesday. Where the sentra will be I guess i will have to show him what having american muscle is all about.... from a dig.

 

Got the car back from the tranny shop. This thing drives like a vette now. I plan on runnin him again this weekend i will post the results.

 

Man, the kid with the sentra doesn't want to race me. He says that he wants to wait for three months until he gets his turbo put on the car. I think that it is bull. Does anybody think that I can still beat him with a turbo?
