LB9 vs 98 v6 stang

Transmission: m-5,350 turbo
Axle/Gears: 3.73,3.73
LB9 vs 98 v6 stang

ok new to this. should I be worried. Took out my 2.8 dropped in a LB9,headers 21/4 true duals, 3.73 gears 700r4 in my 1989 bird. I have a 327 and a 350 also but want to see what kind of power I can get out of the 305.

him stock 96 mustang v-6.


What kind of power and timing am i looking at??

Also if I take him my brother has a 02 mustang gt bone stock??

you should destroy the v6 mustang and the GT should beat you no problem.

Who drops in a 305, when they have a 327 or a 350. I don't buy the "want to see what kind of power I can get out of the 305" thing, who has time to drop in one motor when they've got 2 better ones sitting around. I could see playing around with a 327 for the heck of it...

If your running well, the v6 Stang shouldn't be a problem, I think the 02 Stang GT would take you, unless its poorly driven.

Crossed my mind... still easier to rebuild and install the 350, than to install and modify the 305 to the same power levels... to each his own.

sorry guys, yeah the other 2 engines need some work first. Nothing will be done to the 305 that can't be switched to the other 2.

It only takes a day or two to do an engine swap in one of these if you've done it before lol, no big deal really.

Yeah you'll take the V6, the GT should have you though.
