Raced a pretty fast thirdgen
I was out at the local gathering on fridays and saw a very, very clean black iroc. I started talking to him and it turned out he had a 383 in it. Wouldn't give me any more info than that.
We decided to go from a roll since neither of us was rolling on good tires.
I had my maro tached out in 2nd gear waiting for him to go. He honks three times and we nail it. My tail kicks out a bit but I pedal it and get it to hook. He stayed right with me through third, then I hit fourth and started to walk him. Got into fifth and around 5500 I left off. Only had a car on him!
His car was pretty damn fast for sure. I havn't had mine dynoed but this setup routinely puts down 420ish rwhp and traps in the low 120s.
First race I've had in awhile, and the spec 4 feels AWESOME!!

EDIT: my bad, i forgot that i have the extra extra wide 5th ratio in my car.. sounds like a fast 3rd gen either way..

Getting that LT1 drivetrain prepped up for a cherry thirdgen swap I see
Sounds like you both had wicked cars and took it to the top. You must have been going wicked fast! I rode in your car....quite awhile ago. Seems lots has changed since then, I don't think you even had headers. Where you hanging out these days?
