Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

Anywhere from 13.3 to 14.0. Depends on the altitude of the track you are running at and how well tuned the chip you have is to the setup of your engine. Maybe a little quicker or a little slower on how well you can drive (launch).

high 13s at best. You need headers, stall and gears to see some good times.

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

Should run low 13's. But even shorties would probably gain .5 second over the manifolds. I used to run 12.4 in my 96 WS6 with the HOT cam, SLP shorties into the stock cats, then a SLP catback. Had the usual mods but still stock heads. I also had 4.10 gears with an M6.

Your 3.27 and a stall should easily go low 1.7's if the track is prepped right. Used to run high 1.6/low 1.7's in the TTA with just Nittos and stock D5 stall. 1.61 with a Vig and Nittos, but much more consistent. The TTA had MUCH more torque than my LT1.

I don't see why you couldn't hit the mid 12's with some exhaust work.

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

Mid to low 13's. A converter would help.

Just curious, what made you go with the Lt4 hotcam compared to the other choices out there?

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

I say high 12"s with traction. Can you explain to me how you have built a motor like that and have no clue what a stall is or does? Something seems a little off on this one.

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

Just get a set of 15" rears. Alot of tire sizes available. I have cheap 295 50s. Alittle big but havent spun yet at the track with my pegleg 3.42 rearend.

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

biggest tire i'd say is what i'm running. 26x11.50x16's on the stock irocz rims. i wanted the 10 inchers but i had a good deal on these 11.50's so i had to snag them.

hotcam car with those heads and intake should definately run near high 12's. stall will help tho. you'll need some sticky tires tho too. i run 13.5's with my HSR L98 with stock heads but with stall/gears/stickies. i'm sure my street tire run would be in the 13.7s-13.8s for sure. hotcam will add a good 50whp tuned right. heads even more power. that would put you up near 300whp for sure. i'm at 250whp. hotcam is alot bigger than stock so it will definately make tons more power. pull to 5500 easy. i'm peaking at 5000

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

If your looking for street tires.. a set of Riken Raptor's would be great. I bought a pair and they gripped decently at the track. My 60 foot times went down from 2.20's to consistent 2.10-2.12. They were also great for treking through snow and ice.

Re: what do you think my modded 3rd gen will run?

I have 295/50/15 futura super sports on my car. I am geting consistant 1.95 60s with the pegleg. Think i am spinning them alittle off the line tho.

a stall will let you rev it a little higher off the line so you start in your power band. a 2800 stall speed will let the motor rev to approximately 2800 rpms when you are on the gas and breaks. there is also a thing called flash speed don't get the two specs messed up.
