I have been waiting for this race.. Video inside

I have to say I was really anticipating this race. At least 2 months ago, maybe longer then that I went to the local hang out to meet up with a buddy and some of his friends, my buddy also has a 91 Z28 but it is stock. When I pull in there are a few guys there with Mustangs and one of them is talking about how someone he knows put a LT1 in a 3rd gen. My buddy goes this one over here has a LS1 in it so that got everyones attention. Later that night I ran the guy with the 97 Stang that was saying about the third gen with the LT1 and put a beating on him like he was just sitting there. Before that happened though one of the other guys with a Stang told me my car only puts about 280 hp to the ground if I am lucky and I would never beat his white Stang, and that it puts out about 400 hp . I ask him what was done to it and he said H/C, CAI, full exhaust, carbed and maybe a few other things, I forget if there was more. So we decided to run them some time but I ran into some problems, namingly bending some pushrods and while fixing them having valve cover bolts break in my heads. My car was down for 2 weeks and when I finally got it fixed I called him out and he said his car was broken. His other buddy who I ran even gave excuses for him and it seemed like there was just too much wrong with his car suddenly. But while making these excuses he told my buddy with the 91 Z28 that it wasn't a question of if he was going to beat me it was just by how much. That was 2 weeks ago and I knew he was coming out tonight and probably bringing the car and I told him I wasn't bringing mine but I couldn't resist. I called up my new camera guy and ask him to come out and he obliged. Ron, who has the 86 Stang told me his tranny is going so we decided to go from a roll in second gear, and his tranny does sound a little funny but it had no effect on the race because he took me out in the car before we ran so I could listen to it. I knew I had the race by the time we got back. His car isn't a slouch but it just isn't my car. Surprisingly he didn't make any excuses after the race either except for that in the first race he said he couldn't hear my horn. I think he tried to show me up by giving me the jump which was his mistake. You be the judge from the video.

I told him that his car wasn't pushing close to that weeks ago, he has never had it on a dyno. That changed though I guess to him making 400 lbs of torque which I don't buy also. I did not do the swap myself, Brad Buchanan ( Cobrakilla92z I think is his name on here if I remember right ) and his Dad did it, they are from Cali. I saw the car for sale in December in the classifieds on here and bought it in February and it is badass. The car is still Cali smog legal but I have a set of long tubes and a slp loudmouth system for it that will hopefully be on the car in a few weeks and then tuned again but as of now the car still has the stock exhaust manifolds, 4th gen y pipe and 3rd gen exhaust from the intermediate pipe back into a flowmaster muffler. When the new exhaust is on the car should run a lot better. That raping wasn't too bad, I'll post the vids of me running the guy with the 97 stang later, I put buslengths on him.

Number one, why do you run it onto the rev limiter and then shift? Sounds like wasted time to me.

Second off that car looks like the average powered bolt on 5.0. Nothing special, decent down low, a dog up top. Nice to shut up someone who thinks his S*** dont stink.

All Mustang owners lie about numbers. Especially the younger ones.

Every time I shut the car off and start it again I have to set my shift point on the tach again and forgot to before the race. His car has a decent sized cam in it and he says it has aftermarket heads. He says he rapes LS1's all the time. He is just guessing on the numbers, the car has never seen a dyno.

He may have beat some, I don't think he took them by as much as he is trying to lead everyone to believe.
