Ok..im thinking about racing my friend

He has a 97 civic dx auto with cold air intake, headers, full exhaust and suspension...

would I be able to take him with my 91 3.1 firebird auto with 77.5k miles? My car is stock except exhaust tips welded on...

Sadly, i'm thinking that he would beat me

he also suggested going against his 06 si but i know for sure he would take me in that lol

Not likely you will win. The 3.1L is just so underpowered for the heavy thirdgen.

 

i bet you i would smash that civic in my 93 3.1 lumina.the dx 1.5l are slow,even slower paired with a auto.i don't even think the dx has vtec but i could be wrong.with everything he has on his car it should be good for mid 17 1/4 times.it would really be a drivers race in my opion.
