ok what would i have to do to beat my friends 89 mustang 5.0 auto (its an lx) on the strip (1/8)? it has ot be really cheap lol. b/c im buyin a 350 this fall form my bro in law...375 hp 430 tourque....but he iwll talk **** until the day i put the new motor in....

i have a 1991 rs tbi 5.0 auto, an open air element is the only thing so far...lol

j/p but, you won't be able to cost productively anyways.

run a 125 shot of nos thats 500 or so for a full kit.

run a lt1 cam.

headers and catback you should have him then.

your talking about a factory 16-17 sec car compares to a factory low mid 14 car...... you definetly need about another 80 hp to get him with ease.......

not trying to discourage but, i'd just tell him your new engine will rip him a new 1 and leave it at that.

actually headers and catback will work on the new engine so run that and run up to a 150 shot you should smoke him then... still not much of a defeat running that mujch dope tho.

I thought the auto fox body was alot slower than the stick. I thought they were hight 14 low 15's. Either way ull lose. Nitrous is easiest solution tho.
