Big misconception. The stickers don't actually add hp. They merely reduce friction on the body at high speeds. Less friction = much faster (which is the real reason NASCAR drivers have stickers all over thier cars)

Re: Do you think I could beat....

a carbed 305 from 1982 that seems to be mostly stock with a big heavy tranny. I don't have a whole lot of faith on this one unless it is in good shape and is an HO maybe. other then that I would say close unless the other drive just can't drive.

Re: Do you think I could beat....

Well I have a 54,000 miles on the HO 305ci it's cammed stall speed, street tires, edelbrock 650CFM Edelbrock, 200lbs in weight reduction and a 3-speed, new plugs and wires, and custom forged lightweight pistons finally got those put in :]....

That's what I have everything else is stock I guess you can say it's ram air the carb is out of the hood lmao!

So you have a notorious edelbrock carb, "custom forged lightweight pistons", stock connecting rods, stock crankshaft, stock heads, and stock intake?

Right. I think you'll win this one. The "custom forged lightweight pistons" are good for at least 200 hp by themselves.

nice sarcasm :]

see I just found out today that my car was not stock at all and already had a rebuilt 305 lol I had no Idea I wondered why my car was running low 12s I just thought it was a really good car lol
Aftermarket plenums? What is it that you have? CFI? TPI? Stealth Ram?

And "custom forged lightweight pistons" are not something you just get around to putting in later... so it still doesnt really make any sense, so I can only assume you're just as confused as we are which means we have no idea whether or not you'll win.

But regardless of your ported upper crankshaft manifold, shimmed lifters, cross-drilled brake lines, and solid mount rocker arms, it seems like your car is pretty quick so you're probably fine.
