My 88 iroc 350 vs an 06 evo
well my gf's friend talks alot of trash and want me to get done with my iroc because he wants to race me in his evo which is pretty much stock. now he doesnt know my upgrades besides that i have a 350 tpi. currently im doing a hsr swap, along with this il install umi's lca brackets and control arms because last i remember my tires would spin way too much, and im also adding C6 19X10 rims rear 18X8.5 front with new tires, hope this gives me soem traction as supposed to my 17X8's. now i odnt wanna talk trash because its been about a year since i last drove my car so it will take some tuning and time to get it to run to its potential. but what are my odds, i also just bought a nos kit will maybe use 100 shot if need be, 150 once i get a good tune and new heads/cam. i would like to race from a stop, should i be worried about his car or should i begin my own trash talking, i've beat him once before him on his 07 r6 and me running my 02 gsxr 1000 which was no contest, so i believe his eager to try and even up using his car whats the input

A stock Evo with a good driver can run low 13s. A stock IROC 350 is lucky to be running low 14s, and is most likely mid 14s.
Sorry, didn't notice all the mods in your sig. I still think your going to have trouble though especially if he knows how to drive.

Well,
Is his evo the turbocharged all wheel drive? I think that in stock form those cars are 13 sec cars. With the HSR, a good tune, a full exhaust and a decent set of gears you should be in that range. With the nitrous you should be easily in the twelves.
As far as bikes are concerned, the GSXR1000 is outrageous. I have been riding an 07 gsxr 1000 and that bikes is all too brutal. At 145 mph it just starts pulling. It makes my friends 998 feel like a bicycle. With that kind of a machine, you know that your third gen becomes a good classic car, not the fastest thing on the road.

On the bottle w/ a h/c setup you'll show his stock evo tail lights. But 100 shot on a near stock 350 HSR will be closer. Your mods should put you in the mid - low 13s without spray. Don't go from a dig. Roll from a speed you will consistently hook, and get on the bottle and that new intake should help you pull a little bit. I see you winning.

Re: My 88 iroc 350 vs an 06 evo
yeah im sure i can take him with no prob unless i seriously spin which is the problem, i havent driven the car in quite a while so im unsure of what to expect once i get it running. last time the car was about a year ago and it ran fairly well, now i wonder if i should wait a while after i get the car running because i will need to do some reburning to the stock chip, and add a few suspension mods, but im a bit eager to run the car and see where its stands since my main transportation is the gsxr and well you tend to assimilate to that type of acceleration and speed that once i drive anything else they seem slow.
Hey Saculia hows the 07 gsxr, im looking @ getting an 06 1k would get an 08 but i dont exactly like the style

Re: My 88 iroc 350 vs an 06 evo
i love my 02 and it drives and looks great for the beating i've put in it, just want a new bike, 2 weeks ago i came across a deal for an 07 gsxr 600 for 6500 but ended up passing since i didnt want a new bike but downgrade on power, i like the 06 but im uncertain about the new 08's. I check them out @ the dealer and frankly i liked my 02 better, even saved up for a down payment i think il wait for a nice deal to come by on an 06 low mileage bike,

Re: My 88 iroc 350 vs an 06 evo
he might get you on this one, but no harm racing,
I raced an evo at the track last week he ran 13.3 and 13.5
some slight mods and a good driver. my 4000lb tank 385 crushed him off the line he got within a car - 2 length when his turbo kicked in,
let us know how things go

Depends what kind of EVO it is too. I raced a guy with an EVO 9 who ran an 11.97 on snow tires and his only mods were exhaust and a chip.
