LG4 120+ MPH. Yes I know it is only an LG4, but
Found a open stretch of road and decided to record my attempt to top my car out. I know the risk, but I have traveled this road many times and it is as safe as I could be on the street (trust me I wish I had a track reasonably closeby, but there isn't one that I know of). Yes, I know it is only a LG4, but its what I got and it makes me smile. Being that I was out in the country my phone lost the GPS signal, thus I do not how fast I ended up going (don't you just love the 85 MPH speedos they put in these cars). I know what it feels like to go 120 in the car and trust me I was well past that, I would hope I broke 130.

around 5K, but the engine can't go higher than that in gear.

If you go to the main page and click on "Technical Articles" at the top of that page is a link to "Performance Calculations" You can go there and enter your tire height, gear ratios and RPM to calculate speed. With 2.73 gears and a 700R4, you would have had to be in 3rd gear to spin 5000 RPM at any reasonable speed... that's 138 MPH with 25.5" tires (keep in mind the tach could be off by 500+ RPM or more if the torque converter didn't lock up). If you were in 4th gear at 5000 RPM it would have been about 170 MPH (obviously impossible).

Re: LG4 120+ MPH. Yes I know it is only an LG4, but
I know the tach reads around 4200 rpm when I have it floored. the 5K was a guess (a bad one, lol). and if its +/- 500 rpm, due to lockup, then it would equal my speed. being that i have driven this car daily for the last five years i would say I hit 132 mph. that puts me at 3500 RPM, according to the equation.
