so my Friend has an early 90's Thunderbird with the v8 5.0 all stock Automatic. i looked his car up and its seems they got like around 210 horsepower or something but his car seems alot heavier than mine. I figured he would win anyways but i just want opinions on who would win and if any of you have raced one?

i raced one with the 4.6 in my L03 (mods in sig). the t-bird had a catback exhaust and some port work on the heads. i also had a full tank of gas and my 250+ lb brother in the car. we both spun really bad off the line and by about the 1/8 or so, he had about 2 on me. i honestly think that you could take one of the 5.0s

 

Right on. I was just wondering because ive rode in one and there pretty quick but they don't seem AS fast as my car...

 

I raced a 90's thunderbird with my stock LO3 and got a car length and kept it I had a good launch tho

 

Those cars really arn't that fast. I owned one for a few weeks (just for profit. drove it while i tried to sell it), and even my half dying 305TPI would kick its butt all over town and back, so i'm guessing you could take him. If not it would be close.
