91 rs vs. 73 roadrunner

kid started talking about how a manual tranny adds 150-200 hp. i told him he was a tard. he then procedes to call me out. i realize i will probably lose but atleast he cant talk crap when he doesnt beat me by the 10 cars he said it would be.
so ive got a 91 rs with a 305tbi and 700r4 tranny. i have put in an open element, took off the factory catback, installed a 3.27 posi 9 bolt, and the sonnax tv spring.
this kid has a 1973 satellite with a 440 and i would think 727. theyre only rated at 280 net and weigh close to 2 tons. he says 3.73 posi rear. honestly i drove it and was disapointed.
im gonna go tonight either way

how u think it will turn out?

Re: 91 rs vs. 73 roadrunner

In '73 those cars were big fat pigs. Think Cordoba, basicly the same car underneth. If it's any kind of a good 440 though it should beat you. On the other hand lots of folks have no idea how to tune them so you might just win

Re: 91 rs vs. 73 roadrunner

I'm goint to guess the Mopar by 3 lengths to 100mph. I'd rather see the Pontiac win however.

I think it will take you to 60 or so then you will creep past it. They are way heavy...
