2006 lincoln ls vs 86 z28

My friends mom has a lincoln ls and its a quick little car, he thinks it'll run right over my z28 and i think it'll be a much better race than he thinks. Its a 350 with a edlebrock intake, and 600 carb. Headers, and a mild cam (don't know the specs lol). Part of my problem is i think i got 2:73 gears and some very bald tires. What do you guys think?

Re: 2006 lincoln ls vs 86 z28

you can spin tires on 2.73?sorry i had to do that... and i belive that lincoln has a 4.6 soch motor 260 hp same motor from the mustang.. but the fuel and air system are different, much more economical than the mustangs so his performance is less even with the same motor. and its an auto im very sure. auto 4.6 mustangs run about a 15 and the lincoln is a boat compared so im sure you should win.....not by much honestly but you should win.. it would help to know more info on your car though auto/manual, what era 350, intake- edlebrock doesnt explain much.. ect.

Really bald tires and yes i can spin "tire" (sometimes lol). My cars an auto.
The 350's outta an (87 or 89) truck. I think the engines a 3.9 but im not sure, what ever it is its not very "economical" maybe its her driving but its getting about 16 mpg and i get 15 lol.

The V8 is a 3.9 in those, same as the T-birds of those years. Right about 215-220HP, and it ran the quarter in 15.4. Shouldn't be to hard to handle, if you can drive.
