My 88 is as silent as it can get, at idle the only way to know it's running from the inside is the tach and the other day I was looking for an address at about 15MPH in a 25 and an old fat man yelled; "Slow Down! there are kids here!"
I looked around and all I saw was old people, no kids anywhere.
Anyway I don't think its just about sound, it's the look, the stereotype and sometimes old cranky people with absolutely nothing else to do.

It just happens. I have people tell me off for my truck because it's too loud. Then, there's times when I rev it on purpose and I've set off car alarms, yeah, not the best idea when security at school sucks.. Oh well

So I drive out of Market Basket, accelerating to 30 mph, which is completely legal, and stop at hannafords to get some foods. The manager walks by and says "I saw you take out of Market Basket like, what are you doing?" I guess he was talking about me going fast or something, which I wasn't. I've got glasspacks so it's pretty loud. When I'm going 30mph at around 3-4000 rpm people give me angry looks like I'm going 80. One women started yelling slow down at me, when I was going 25. Why can't people get loud doesn't mean fast. Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this, but it's aggrivating that I get in 'trouble' for nothing.

may you never know . well i don't really mean that . i have grown old enough to know that some dumb/stupid things my father told me are not so dumb/stupid . oh well , with age some wisdom follows . i may be getting old but , i refuse to grow up . good luck .

For all you quiet Camaro drivers go get a Saturn there quiet and good on gas. If you like it that way drive it that way,and trust me not all of the next generation is bad and disrespectful and if they are you might wanna look in the mirror cuz your you might be their parent and part of the problem.Any kid that drives a Camaro of any Gen is still better than the ***** kid with his pants falling down thinkin you need a laptop to tune a car.Just my
