ok my iroc's gonna be a DD in HS and by that time i'll only have an magnaflow cat back and magnaflow cat and i'll really be lucky if i have more like headers. reason why is because we arent no rich people and there is alot more things i gotta spend the money on to even get legal and all. so im kinda paranoid that i'm gonna have a car that is as slow as everything else and loose to basically everything. should i be paranoid? i know i shouldnt be this way but i get myself in sticky sutuations at times and dont wanna go agaist something and loose. the HS doesnt have anything special at it just old beaters basically but i know there is 1 or 2 decent peformance cars there. so should i be paranoid about having "an slower car" or not? and for the record i do love my camaro and the whole peformance thing really isnt as much about wanting it for myself but to show off and have those street cred's lol. thanks for any advice.

 

Dude you have a 3rd gen camaro just look at what i have 305tbi auto and and i have im in the top 10 at my school lol

 

lol im more glad then a bug in a rug that i have a thirdgen lol but see i sh*t talk alot at school (mostly about looks and dream car so on) and dont want them to come back and whoop me lol. reallty there isnt much diffrence were both autos with 305's just but i got the low end power and you got the power range all around lol!

 

Easy solution, quit talking $hit or don't worry about it. Don't talk yourself up to being king of the hill and then have some Subaru wax your ****.

 

Save your money. If your car runs perfect don't mess with it. Add the simple mods such as exhaust and intake but leave it be. Save your money for school and your future. Any insecurity you have about your car now will vanish in no time because it is not important. Remember, your car is still a better performer than 70% of the cars in your parking lot. If not higher. The amount of cars in a high school parking lot that run 14's or faster is very small. Who cares. Someone will always be faster no matter what you do to your car. Your 3rd gen today is still one of the better handeling cars. In a few years when you have money to pay for school expenses, that will give you a better high than having a faster 3rd gen. Fear not. Invest in your future now and you will have an unbeatable car later

 

lol ya like i said 99% of it is kids talking crap about my car being old as they dont know if its fast or not but they all think its fast. mostly just my car is better then your car thing. serecley none of these kids know squat about cars but the ones that actually do im kool with and they respect it.

Agreed. You have a cool car. Plain and simple. Who cares if someones fancy new German import is faster. I have a 1961 corvair station wagon that makes 90 hp. At car shows more people look at that than a brand new Zr1. Power isn't everything. You car has much more to it than 205 hp.

 

ya just like some people would rather have a high hp car but that is all beat to hell. i would rather have a nice car that has 10hp that that. like most kids now only want something like a lambo just because there fast. no kids and also seems like not many people now aday appreciate a car for what it is. also from what i can tell that looks like a nice corvair! lol i dont even have 205hp i belive its just the 190hp version but no worries though.

 

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your IROC will most defiantly be the best looking car in the lot for sure. I am a junior in HS, and I have my 350TPI 1988 GTA that I drive to school when I want. I know my car is in the top 3 fastest, and I go to a gigantic public school in Las Vegas... Some kid has a brand new black 2010 SS camaro, and some chick drives a bright red 2009 charger R/T, but I don't know if its hers or not. I know a kid occasionally drives his dads brand new white Nissan GTR to school and parks it in the back by my car. When I do bring it kids just stare as I leave at the end of the day. Chances are they will do the same to you.

 

i hope so i just sick of people talking crap. i hope to atleast be friends with the people with the faster cars or im f'd lol. i bet everyone is trying to figure out what type of a car yours is. example hey fred isnt that a ferrari, no john i think its a corvette, jake" na man its a lambo, fred/john your probaly right. lol sorry for the lame story but i have gotten ask several times by people if my car is a lamboghini or ferrari.

Haha I have actually gotten "hey dude that's a sweet corvette you have out there", "Is that a corvette?" a whole bunch of times. Thumbs up, girls staring, all that jazz. I cant blame them for thinking its a vette though, it does sorta look like one if your not car savvy. I tell them its a Trans Am GTA, but it does have a corvette engine in it.. they just look at me confused.. lol

 

lol i do and im not the one saying it is one, they'll just ask if its a lambo and i say uh sure. i would think a t/a could really get away with looking like a ferrari or so.

 

thanks, you cant really tell in pictures but it does need touch up in places like i would like to repaint the louvers, t-top drip rails, door handles, and touch up some other spots. also it needs an few things for the interior and of course a exhaust lol its got no muffler on it right now.

 

lol nice t/a's and iroc's i think defintly look like a exotic to the untrained eye if there kept in good condition. i also think the 91/92 z28's look alot like a ferrari.
