Re: ls1 intake on tpi

what design aspect are you looking to keep? there is no way to modify the intake to fit a gen1 engine. If you are just going for looks, thats kind of pointless, and the design of the ls1 intake and head ports are totally different than a gen 1, and thats where the flow advantages come from.

what your trying to do would cost more than its worth. If this were even remotely possible i think someone else would have tried it.

Re: ls1 intake on tpi

there are plenty of options if youre looking for more rpm out of a TPI motor:

1)miniram
2)stealthram
3)edelbrock proflo
4)superram
5)carb intake w elbow
6)siamesed TPI

of course, your stock heads and cam will limit the power you make at higher rpm since they were designed for the TPI system

Re: ls1 intake on tpi

I'd rather see long tube, TPI style runners, on a LS1 bock, but the airflow style wouldn't match real well. Maybe higher rpm/different flowing LS1 heads?

Uhm, isnt the LS1 intake already 15" or so runners? I've seen the inside and those things are pretty long.
