Jedi Camaro.. (video)
I made this vid a couple years ago. It is the history and documentation of the mods i have done over the years. I did it to a Star Wars theme. The race footage gets better towards the end... I just wanted to share the blueprint on how to build a pretty quick car over time and with a budget...

How much did you spend overall on building that thing up?

I haven't really added it all up. I would do a couple mods every year. I would guess I spent $500-$750 per year to get it where it is today. The rear-end breaking all the time was the real money pit. I finally got a good deal on a Moser 9" and will never break it again. If you plan on drag racing and launching your car with 300+HP, I suggest to build the 10 bolt as beefy as possible ($1100 in parts) or go with a bolt-in 12bolt or 9".
If i could do it over again i would go in this order:
-all the free mods that i found on this site like the ram-air etc..
-good plugs and wires
-cat back exhaust (delete the cats and smog pump if you don't have emmissions tests to pass)
-strut tower brace
-sub frame connectors
-boxed rear control arms
-3.73 gears or 4.10 (beef up the rear while your at it)
-Headers
-Nitrous
-drag radials
