Are you a RS or an IROC. I am guessing the RS with TBI

You have the tq advantage Both are ~3300lbs

I would probably give the advantage to the mustang if manual esp if you still have the factory 2.73 rear end

Sorry but i agree. Ive raced alot of camaro 305 Rs's and it was close and i have a 3.1L with little mods.. There (305 tbi stock) 1/4 time is something like 16.5 give or take a few tenths with 2.73 in the rear. 0-60 is like mid-high 8 sec range.
never know thought he might light them up at the line and thats all it takes for a win.....Do us chevys proud and beat the stang!

well i have a 305 tbi with 202 hp to the tires and 268 tq to the tires i know i can kill a v6 mustang even some gts the older ones if your not very modded up and i still even have the 2.73 rearend to

I have an 06 4.0 V6 Mustang and you will loose. The 4.0s are surprisingly quick and I bet it is just a hair slower than my L98 Trans Am. A CAI and a tune is worth about 15-20 horses and I know with that I could take my GTA.

well i can beat a l98 gta my friend rob has one he got 193 hp to the tires and 272 tq and i can beat him so im sorry a 4.0 mustang is slow i run a 9.6 1/8 mile

origanally the guy said he had a STOCK 305 in his camaro. Thats mabey what...150 to the rear wheels.. Thats gonna run a 16.5 and the stang, well i love chevys to death but a complete stock 2007 mustang V6 and that stock 305tbi camaro?? The mustangs gonna probly beat it. and substantually. By 3-4 teths i bet! Its NOT comparing a modified camaro to this stock mustang. Its comparing 2 stock cars in a 1/4 mile race.

Even if your 305 puts down 202/268. A healthy l98 car will put you down every time. Are these real dyno numbers or numbers you made up?

Anyways, looks like he has you. Why are you even picking fights with a L03? Let alone a stock one.

On the plus side With some minor mods you can probably take him. Hell my toyota rapes those stangs all day long

lol he said he can take a L98 with his stock 305... I know those 305s have quite the reputation for being power monsters (LOL!!!) but come on stop kidding yourself. Everyone forgets the fact that the L98 has over 40lb/ft of torque more than the 305.

L03 vs 4L V6 mustang?

Now, granted this race had already happened but if that V6 was running right I say you'd definitely lose. Thats a 50hp advantage the V6 has.

I could scare an stock L98 car with my G6 if I could get the darn thing off the line. From a roll its as fast as an L98 is. The factory tires are shot (dry-rotted) and FWD doesn't help off the line. But once rolling it pulls pretty hard.

I wouldn't even attempt it on a new 3.7L V6 mustang (2011+). Thats some serious power out of the power plant.

yea those new v6's are something...putting down 300+Hp... 14's all day if ya know how to get off the line.
