96 corvette

I raced a 96 vett my friend had for the weekend. This vett was really fast I think it only had the lt1 but it really moved. It was auto conv.

any ways what happened was he found me cruzin in town and asked if I wanted race. so ofcourse I said sure. We took them out to the back roads. the first run made my jaw drop. I dumped the clutch at 1500 and boiled the tires like I always do. but what got me was we were doing 120 mph and he was still two car lengths a head. so we tryied it again now this time I dumped the clutch at 900 rpms my car fell for a breef sec. then took off burning the tires right by him only this time the car was moving while the tires were sceaming for life. I just kept her hammered til 5th gear. He asked If I installed my nos because he read 130mph and my car was still pulling away. we did the same test hundreds of time with the same results. I have not had time to run my car at the track but, would like to know what he should be pulling...13.5? also he hooks really good very little tire spin. and even turned off the traction control.

Boy you must have used a lot of gas if you did the same test hundreds of times with the same result. His car was a 96 Vette? It didn't have the LT4 in it did it? If so, you shouldn't have beaten that car, not even on the upper end. If so though, good kill.
Be careful,

Chris

I beat a 96 auto from a stop to 120 plus by one car length with my old heads and no juice. I figured the vette would eat me after 90 but that wasn't true. He was so pissed because he still had temp tags on it and I told him I had a 305 and a cat back.
