I had my biggest win yet,which I am the most proud of with my car since I've had it the past year and a half,a 00,or 01,auto Yellow C5 Corvette.Coming back from work a few nights ago,I spot him behind me,I'm doing about 50,and he trys to pass me,I say Uh Uh,drop from OD to 2nd,floor it and he don't go nowhere
I'm thinkin I probably got the jump on him,so I see if he still want's to play,I let him get beside me doing about 45,I'm jabbing the throttle,so is he,I hear him punch,I drop and punch,car downshifts hard,we are neck and neck,shift to D,then OD,I'm yelling COME ON BABY!
my leg is shaking,I'm looking for cops,I slowly pull a half car length on him,no more,no less,look at speedo,doing 80,jam on brake for traffic ahead,and its over,but WHAT A RUSH!My car is 11 years old,with 90K miles,cost me $4k,has about $2500 total in mods,including a rebuilt trans,stock cam,heads,and exhaust manifolds,and that $45k plus car didn't know what hit him.He probably was bone stock with 2.73 gears,but it was at speed,where horsepower is usually king.It just goes to show,what a well tuned,L98 thirdgen with boltons,but the RIGHT balance of parts can do

heh, are u serious? k i wont believe it till i see it. btw, my friend has a 89 formula 350 g92 (they have better cams then the 90s) with a catback and no way in hell could he beat a vette. i know you have the shiftkit so take off a tenth and ur stall wont do anything unless u race from stop. i dont believe this for a moment. Vettes run mid to low 13's if im not mistaken and your aluminum driveshaft maybe another 1 to 2 tenths. gj if this happened but maybe you caught the vette in OD because i "beat" a 2001 SS in 2nd w/o my ehxuast and he caught up when i hit 3rd.

simple mods I did myself except trans,if I were going to keep it(I plan on getting a TTA soon)I would add SLP headers,cam,ported manifold,ported corvette heads,and could easily be in the mid 12's with traction.I dont have T-tops,my registration says it weighs 3309,and it ran exceptionally stong when it was stock(14.3@96)I have beaten several TT Stealth/3000GT's with it on the highway,on the street,a few LT1 F-body's,an LS1 T/A,LT1 vette,M3,and murdered to many 4.6 stangs to count.Although,I think I have a pretty fast car for the basic mods I have,and limited money invested,I am in no way saying I have the fastest car,but I have only lost 2 races with it on the street before my trans,1 at a light to a gray T-type that said "1quick6"on the license plate(it was,as he kicked my a$$
and the other to a 5.0 stang on the highway,that sounded like a prostocker.
