Dude I love your enthusiasm, but you've got to type a little better than that.

Anyway, don't bother with a dyno. Get a weight at the track and get a timeslip. That's more accurate than any dyno. That's real world. The weight and mph will give us a pretty good estimation of horsepower.

These cars were either broken, never got traction, were driven abyssmally, or you have way more modifications than you are disclosing. No way in a real race you would stand a chance. Even poorly-driven 2.73 reared LS1 F-bodys will knock down 13s with a chimp driving.

Not to mention that the intake ports on a LT4 intake don't line up with the intake ports on LT1 heads because they are raised.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

I've raced some of my friends trucks just for fun and have won. I was extremely surprised. Most of them have bone stock 5.3 1500s and one 6.0. Not trying to brag. I think the 305 is a junk engine unless you have ALOT of patience and money. Mines just a daily driver.

if your thinking about modding any engine you will be better off with a carbed 350 with a mild cam, aluminum heads and intake, with a nitrous kit. i had a 350 with the mods above done^ and it lasted from 1997-may 2011 with a 225 shot and a tunnel ram. beaten countless ricers (evos and STIs were my favorite to humiliate) just my opinion...

First this guy can't race.
who races an automatic and puts it in overdrive?
Next that wasn't a real drag race. it didn't even last what an 1/8th mile would be.
I dought if he made it up to 60 mph.
No that engine doesn't have a cam. Sound completely stock.
I could go on and on about how much bs this guy is giving out.
And by the way he talks he doesn't know much about his car or any car.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

I don't know how to race I won, how can I shift and record at the same time that's a vid it self. I don't understand I have vid of me beating a LT1 and u guys don't beleave the vid. he was suppost to blow (as he said) he took off first he did not get me on take off. I don't care to track if I did y'all will say its fix or u lieing about mods so what will be the point next year come around and I will show u. And I did not build this car I got it as is the pre owner told me the mods. And how do I "sound" like I don't know about cars I just said what I was told the guy I raced "said his 94 had a LT4 intake I realy didn't beleave him the stock 93 did bout the same if not better. It was well over 60mph I don't know how slow your car is but a q mile don't take that long is your 0-60 time 13 sec. A colbolt ss modded was turbo was scard to race me I tryed and u wouldn't and we were at the racing ground he said he saw the cars a raced and said no he only race cars he can beat. This post was no point if u had my car u wouldn't beleave what I tell u what's in the car. IMO carbs are for rookies and for cheap build. I just think my car is well put together right cam for heads timing all that just need a tune. But I was on u guys side but the insults are not needed. I think its a 350 but that's just me ad everybody else I raced think for just a few bolt ons it should not move like it does but it do that's it

LOL carbs are for rookies? I think you'll see a lot more rookies running around trying to make their untuned stock factory fuel injection work than rookies with carbs.

BTW a turbo cobalt would not be scared to race you unless they were under the impression that you were running an amazing set up. My TVS cobalt traps 119mph with a terrible 60 ft. Turbo cobalt's trap what i trap with 1k worth of mod's. You would've gotten destroyed.

I looked at the 08+ Cobalt SS's as a new daily driver. But it was too small, and the prices for them were still more than I wanted to pay. Love the car though, even with its cheap interior and small size. I couldn't beat my G6 GTP manual coupe for the $$$ I paid. 10k miles and only $13k with every option except TPMS.

Yeah ill be honest my car is tight, just like my fbodys. But yeah when the turbo cobalts came out they were a little out of my price range, but now you can find them for around 15k with about 30k miles. I found my s/c cobalt for 10 flat with 35k, i talked the dealer down from 12.5. But it's a great car and has never given me a major problem that i couldn't fix myself. Excellent High 12 second daily driver =)

I practically live in e-town, but will sometimes head over to Atco though when we can get a group of guys together to make it worth the trip, otherwise it's a long trip to Atco and the aggravation soon starts to set in because the speed limits getting there are freaking ridiculous. The engine is a puny 305 running old 416 heads with the crappy Tuned Port Injection. Cam isn't anything special, not like today's custom ones, and the T88 turbo doesn't even spool, it's just there for show. I'll honestly race anyone though, because that is what it's all about in the end. It's a decent street car for what it is, its not a threat whatsoever, truuuuuuuuust me....

While power adders are technically a bolt on......they are slightly different than the bolt-ons he was talking about.

What are the engine specs on the 305, and what was your trap? I hit 11.5x @ 117 with the injectors going static and duty cycle pegged, that was with a T76 @ 12 pounds of boost pressure, w/stock 30lb Grand National injectors. Heads were untouched 081's, cam was aftermarket but nothing special, TPI was siamesed, and was running about 3200 in stall speed.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

Youtube "races" are for wannabes kids and puzzies that never wanna find out how slow their car really is.

Sorry a 305 is a stone.

Get a time slip then see whos faster than what?
Not a dyno sheet not a Gtech, not some app on a phone.

Come on man get real.

Gtech's are fairly accurtate if you set them up properly.

Horribly inaccurate with ET. Someone reliable with Trap speed estimations based on inertia assuming you are on flat ground.

The Dynolicious application on the iPhone has proven to be more accurate though.

The engine is a puny 305 running old 416 heads with the crappy Tuned Port Injection. Cam isn't anything special, not like today's custom ones, and the T88 turbo doesn't even spool, it's just there for show. I'll honestly race anyone though, because that is what it's all about in the end. It's a decent street car for what it is, its not a threat whatsoever, truuuuuuuuust me....
riggght im sure it's no threat lol.....i think ill go from a roll with ya if we ever run, are trap speeds seem to be the same, but from a dig your a good 1-2 seconds faster lol.

YOU ALWAYS have to track prove your car, with out proof noone will believe what your saying IE: races you've won, car's you've beat.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

Time slip is credibility.

nearest decent track is over 2 hrs away and I drive to it

Youd drive 2 hrs throughout the period of a night driving a nice piece of tail around only difference is youll spend less and probably have more fun.

Distance like that is no excuse.

tell that to the guys who race for money on the street on a consistent basis...they dont track the cars for fear of slips getting out and people knowing what their sleds run

I have no times yet with the T88, still working out the bugs, and with this new cam concept I am going with it will make it even worse for me to tune lol, as now I am heavily considering the Holley HP as an ECM. The run with the T76 was capped at 12-psi because I ran out of injector, was only running stock LC2 injectors at that time. That setup would have easily been in the tens with more boost and more fuel. Since then, larger injectors, bigger turbo, fully ported heads (smaller intake valves) and fully siamesed TPI system (and I mean fully ported and siamesed), 3500 stall speed, and even larger camshaft. You might want to run me from a dig instead...

Not sure why carbs are for rookies or designed for cheap builds but I know a lot of rookie carb guys with over 700 hp but then again they must be rookies. I also run a quad carbed 750 V4 bike making 116hp, but I am guessing tuning all 4 of those carbs is also for rookies.

Guess I should get into the pro circuit and drop the cash on an efi system even if my car came with a CCC but only if I want to be pro.

The camera is why you "won". The other guys saw you trying to race & run a video camera at the same time, so they backed off to let you go by. They wanted to be behind you so that they could see the show when you wrecked!

No I won because I pass th finish line first. I don't know what the fuss is about I bought a car as is raced a few ppl in the street a reported it that's it no need to hate on me. Some ppl heads sooo far up their bun hole they missed all the key things. 1 I was told a few things where told to the car some things I was not told or he just foregot so I don't know for 100% what's under the hood. 2 these are street races most cars are stock after I jump ahead they could have let of the gas didn't want to wreck their new car. 3 this is my est time and 1/4 mile remember I have never been on the track the track could be way longer and will give them time to catch up in pass me. I just build motors mostly O.E. I'm still new to the race world. I know some of u are 40^ and got the motel t fresh off the line not me. All I did was say I beat these cars to the finish line. The vid is not the place where all the racing take place.
