TPI should be having a party from 3500-4500rpm, its where it LIVES. Stock L98 past 4500 drops, past 5500 its a cliff.

My tpi 305 must not have been invited lol. I cant remember my exact best 1/4 mile time; but it was something like high 14's @ 96mph with a 2.1x 60ft. (I think my best time was 14.9x, but its been over 2 years so I don't remember exactly.)

Not a bad time for a lightly modified & tuned 305; but nothing to get excited about. Keep in mind I was shifting a t5 w/ street tires, so my 60ft time wasn't going to be all that epic.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

8 years ago many ppl thought I was trolling when I told this story. Everything I said was true. It was bad drivers and a little luck. Well, the car is gone now, It was stolen back in 2014. I know who did it and did everything on my part that the police told me to do and they didn't do theirs. Now I have a 2003 E55 AMG but I will always keep my eye open for an 89 IROC that I will keep stock. I also made a career out of being a mechanic. I wonder what changes to other ppl cars in the last 8 years.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

I ain't reading 19 pages of dime-store trash just to point out why someone is an idiot. I don't need to read 19 pages to know there's an idiot, I can tell by the subject line.

So here's a very special message to who so ever might be the idiot. If you feel yourself getting upset that I've said you're an idiot, it's because the truth hurts. Close this window, and step away from the internet. We've got enough idiots around here already.

Gracias.

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

no,actually you were full of crap then and now with "old age/senility" setting in you are even more full of crap,at least you can hide your own easter eggs.oh,and remember the "good old days" that never actually happened?there's a massive bullsheeter in every crowd, you just happen to be "that guy" today and im thinking you've always been "that guy" that people run away from screaming because you are like a verbal diarrhea spreader and it gets on EVERYTHING.

i have a friend who is identical to you personality wise,he is full of crap but only when he talks or writes anything down.otherwise he is fine.

you dont run into 15 bad drivers with super cars and wax them with your 200 horsepower auto trans 2.73 rear geared LB9,you are LYING.
a 2007-9 toyota camry would blow your doors off

Re: 305 LB9 are slow bull

Since this old thread was brought back to life........could you imagine being in a 1969 Camaro with a low displacement 302 outrunning 396's 427's 383's 426's......the manufacturers and cars are well known so we won't embarrass them anymore than they were back then. Just saying......some times it boils down to the driver boys......its called the driver mod....can't learn it on a video game. I love my 305, its stock.......I swear...... keep this thread alive, for ever.
