I have:
88 GTA, basic L98 auto, only mod is a K&N air filter and a JET chip. (79,000 miles, new pirelli tires). What about without chip?

He has:
95 'stang GT, auto, totally stock, (65,000 miles, nice 17" tires)

I don't know about that. Wasn't 95 the last year for the 5.0? IF it's a 5.0 I would be worried, but if its a 4.6 you should have no problems.

 

yeah he has a 5.0 but that auto is gonna kill him AUTOS BLOW!

 

yea the ford autos blow, it should be a close race, but I would bet my money on the GTA.

 

Okay, so yes they are both autos (which i don't think suck) and yes the 'stang is the last 5.0 year. So I have a good chance stock against stock?? even though mine is 12 years old? both are in good condition.
i won't race him for 2 weeks, i just want to be prepared. thanks y'all -

 

I think you'll beat him. I have heard that the 5.0's in the newer body styles are dogs. Gotta keep in mind the Fox Bodies are lighter than the newer body styles. I think you will probably beat him pretty good.
