What do I need????Please help....

I have raced my friend in his 86 Mustang GT(auto), plenty of times and every time we do Im either in front by like 1 car or dead even untill like I hit 3rd gear. Then he just walks away from like if I was braking. I know that he has more horsepower than me but does what Im saying sound right to you guys? Is it just that the LO3 runs out of power or is there something wrong with my car?
His car is completely stock, and rated at 200hp, 285tq.
Then again what I could I do to my car to atleast make it less embarrassing.

Thanks for all the help.

Unfortunately it is almost self-explanatory, I had the same car and the LO3 is only 170hp and 255 torque, with mods your maybe 180-190hp, but about equal in weight if not he is lighter. you need more power.

What you need is those headers. Those with a 3" cat and 3" cat-back will guarantee that he'll stay in the rearview mirror where he belongs.
