ME vs. 2001 WS6

I was out on RT 31 last night (a two lane road that is impossible for cops to monitor and I ran into this chick I know who just has a 2001 WS6 Auto. I talked her into racing me from a roll because I didnt think it'd be too fair to from a light with my tires. Anyways, we were side by side at about 60 ( I was locked up in drive), and I told her to punch it. I forgot that her car would downshift to 2nd at that speed while I was stuck in 3rd at 3000. She immediately pulled 3-4 cars on me and I punched it. I knew motor alone wasnt enough to make up that much of a deficite so I flipped the 100HP switch and reeled her in by about 110. As soon as I pulled on her she shut it down. You should have seen the look on her face when I pulled up next to her at 110 and kept on going. By the way, that car had some serious nuts from a roll!

I knew her so I knew she wasnt spraying. Even if she was on the bottle and we left even I think I would still pull her. My trap speeds are a little faster than those of an LS1 with similar mods, thanks for the replys guys.

I used to have an IROC similar to your car - same intake, heads, cam, and so on. I had some head work on the vortecs and 1.6rr's, slp exhaust also, and it was a 5 speed. At any rate, I pulled pretty good on an 98 TA from 30-90 (1-2 car, it was hard to tell). I had a 100hp nitrous system to install also, but when I got caught racing the above TA, I sold the car and nitrous system. Good job on beating the LS1 . . .
